A Day of Ghetto

Yesterday was just a day of ghetto. Like Sean Kingston's Ghetto Girl.

Ghetto #1: My roommate Justin and I woke up to no water. It turned out, plumbing services was here to fix a problem with the spa/pool and the main pipes would be affected - from 9 AM to 1 PM. Yaaaay. No shower. No water. I had to go pee, so I took the risk. Then there was water! So I took the quickest shower of my life. Less than 5 minutes total.

Ghetto #2: What worried me more was the status of the pool. The pool that I swim in. And is now closed because of regulations. LOL. I knew the spa was closed off. Maybe they just had to close the pool too to work on the spa.

Ghetto #3: I forgot to staple my ESYS homework (which I didn't do the questions right anyway). So I folded the top down. I hope it's okay haha

Ghetto #4: I used my umbrella for the first time ever since I've been to college! I just found it in the trunk of my car last quarter. But as I was putting my stuff away for my POLI midterm, I broke my umbrella after its short lifespan. ahahaha. The end just... popped up and broke. The piece rolled down the lecture hall under the seats, so I was just like, ah, whatever. haha Broken umbrella. But I pwned that midterm, more or less. I hope.

Ghetto #5: Probably the biggest one of the day. I idiotically got into a car accident on the way to the food bank. I was so excited to go there because I had just finished my midterm. But when it's rainy and dark, crap happens. God damn ghetto crap. lol

It was a side impact on the driver's side. Everyone's okay. I should be thankful for that. There were three other passengers in my car. I am so glad that nothing happened to them. They were such good moral support. I'm thankful.

This is my car now. It's beautiful. I actually drove it home in this state. haha This is also the second car that I've managed to ruin. First one was senior year HS after prom. I'm a terrible accident-prone driver. Sigh. No more car for me, I guess.

I spent the night at Peter's along with Drew, Honyin, and Alan. I didn't feel like staying home because I'd just be emo in my room, and I'd look out the window and be reminded of my sad car. Sadness. I spent the night doing various things to keep me pre-occuppied. I watched 2 episodes of The Office, then 30 Rock, and The Big Bang Theory. I even podcasted a lecture. Shared late-night Roberto's with Drew. Then after a bit, we all went to bed.

I woke up to sadness because I had to go home and deal with what I have to deal with. But that's okay. The good things that came out of it - no one was hurt. And my credit card bill will probably be drastically curbed as a result of my state of no car :D Yay for optimism.

Even though we are miles apart, we're still there with you while you're dealing with it! so even when you're home, you aren't being sad by yourself :)
